Baron has proven to produce better than other anchos under challenging and favorable conditions. The fruits are very large, avg. 5" x 3", and are typically two-lobed which makes them easy to stuff and cook in their signature dish, chile rellenos. More consistent than Tiburon.

Hungarian heirloom brought to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1912. The big, crunchy fruits are very mildy hot, but hotter if you leave the seeds in. Great for making cool batches of tangy salsa or add a few crunchy rings to a sandwich.

Carrot Bomb

Orange Non-Bell Pepper

An explosion of round 1–2" shiny bright tangerine baubles blow up the pepper patch on sturdy 2–2½" plants. The heat is comparable to a mild jalapeño but will vary with weather conditions. A bold spark in salsas, kebabs, stir-fries or the pickle jar. Sister to the red Cherry Bomb...grow them both!

Espelette

I got the seeds for these very special peppers from John Swenson, seed saver, who got them from France. Espelette is a protected pepper variety in France and is very rare in the U.S. The peppers taste good fresh, but really shine when they are dried and ground into paprika. The paprika has a very mild heat to it, along with a vibrant smoky, sweet flavor. The peppers are bright red when ripe, narrow and about 6 inches long.
